Perhaps a coalition of the willing between Obama’s Dept. of Homeland Security and Liberal Academics?
And why is the federal government in the business of giving federal grants for “research” to crap universities like this?
“THE RIGHT IN THESE TIMES:
UNDERSTANDING AND COMBATING CONTEMPORARY SHIFTS TO THE RIGHT
Second Annual Conference on “Rightist Movements”
Friday, May 1, 2009
The Graduate Center, City University of New York
365 Fifth Avenue
Free and Open to the Public
In light of the election of Barack Obama and rollback of the conservative movement’s dominance in the U.S. political arena, analyses have predominantly focused on new openings and possibilities for the left. Yet how various factions on the right proceed at this critical juncture will prove crucial to understanding U.S. political and popular culture for years to come, with significant implications for those working on a wide range of issues, from economic justice and international human rights to racism, immigration, gender discrimination and sexual freedom.
This conference brings together academic researchers, activists, and representatives of non-governmental organizations involved in understanding and contesting both contemporary trends toward the right and rightist efforts, from fiscally or socially conservative movements to hate groups. The aim of the conference is to draw on the insights of those conducting this important work across diverse professional fields toward an understanding of shifts to the right currently underway, as well as to build alliances and encourage collaboration between activists and academic and non-academic thinkers and researchers.”
Funny how The Left accepts double standards on almost anything…
Greg Hengler gives us the Larry King matchup between Townhall’s Dennis Prager and Perez Hilton from last night. In boxing terms, this intellectual debate would be akin to Joe Louis vs Manny Pacquiao’s public-relations guy. It’s no contest. My friend Dennis talks about philosophy, history, and biology, while Perez mostly whines about his feelings. Perez’ corner should have thrown in the towel in the first minute.
Amusing what people will do in the name of the Religion “Diversity”
Another ad, called “Parallel Lives,” features a boring white guy and an exciting Latino. White Guy is dull because “my neighborhood always stayed the same.” Latino is vivacious and engaging because his diverse neighborhood “always got more interesting!”
Always blaming others when the blame should rest on themselves
Key Point: “The rats who murdered Shepard [case from ten years ago] weren’t C-h-r-i-s-t-i-a-n Fundamentalists, they were drug-addled tweaker punks.” In other words, they fit the profile of hippies!
Moreover, while liberals support freeing Mumia, they find selective outrage in other instances.
Penn State University’s Office of Student Affairs, in partnership with President Graham Spanier, produced this vignette on “worrisome student behaviors” featuring a stereotypical “aggressive” veteran who threatens his professors.
Faculty and administrators again prove they care more about poisonous “progressivism” than intellectual pluralism.

Penn State removed the video from the website on Fri., Feb. 27, but left the others online — all but declaring their awareness of its inappropriateness.
So, you think it’s unfair to criticize Joe Biden for the actions of his daughter. And you could be right. But did you say the same thing about Bristol Palin? Her pregnancy was supposed to prove something bad about her mom’s advocacy of abstinence education. (Even though Sarah Palin also advocates teaching birth control, which somehow always gets left out of such arguments.) Her private, personal decisions have been strewn all over the media landscape. She’s been torn apart everywhere from Good Morning America to Saturday Night Live. And what she did isn’t even illegal.
If Bristol Palin’s actions reflect badly on her mom, why don’t Ashley Biden’s actions reflect badly on her dad?
Oh, and let’s not forget another acquaintance of Joe’s who was known to snort a line or two in his time. You now know him as Mr. President.
Another open-minded tolerant liberal group exercising its right over…license plates?
Tim Kaine, the Virginia governor and President Barack Obama’s hand-picked choice as the head of the Democratic National Committee, infuriated abortion-rights groups Monday by signing legislation that gives abortion foes a long-sought victory.
Kaine brushed off intense lobbying by abortion rights supporters in Richmond to sign a bill that allows Virginia motorists to advertise their anti-abortion views by sporting “Choose Life” specialty license plates. …
“It is surprising that Governor Kaine would do this, but it’s all the more surprising that he would do it as chair of the DNC,” said Paulette McElwain, the president of the Virginia League for Planned Parenthood.
McElwain exchanged numerous calls with the governor’s office over the license plates and organized a grass roots effort that logged more than 2,000 calls to the governor’s staff.
“We provided him with abundant information,” she said. “We’re terribly disappointed that he decided to sign it.”
In Washington, NARAL/Pro-Choice America channeled more than 17,000 emails and 200 calls to the DNC urging Kaine to veto the bill.
“It is unfortunate that, even after receiving thousands of messages from Virginians and pro-choice activists across the country, Gov. Kaine has opted to sign a bill that advances a divisive political ideology at the expense of women’s health,” NARAL/Pro-Choice America president Nancy Keenan said in a statement.
The license plate doesn’t say, “Stop abortion” or “Make women sick”. It says “Choose Life”, and shows a simple drawing of the faces of two children. How is that a “divisive political ideology”? Successful gestation is an ideology?
